of Medicine Children’s Foundation -Uganda (Baylor-Uganda) is an indigenous
not-for-profit child health and development organisation affiliated to the
Baylor College of Medicine International Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a
Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres
of Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa
and Eastern Europe.
Job Summary: The District Program Officer will develop and
monitor implementation of periodic operational work plans and budgets in
supported districts
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Develop
and monitor implementation of periodic operational work plans and budgets in
supported districts.
·
Monitor
implementation of strategies for scale-up of Paediatric and adolescent HIV/TB,
PMTC/EID, MNH, Nutrition services and District health systems strengthening
(DHSS) in line with national guidelines.
·
Build capacity
of district and health facility teams in Paediatric and adolescent HIV/TB,
PMTC/EID, MNH, Nutrition services delivery and District health systems
strengthening(DHSS) in supported districts in line with the Ministry of Health
and Baylor Uganda capacity building guidelines.
·
Monitor
the implementation of periodic performance targets for Paediatric and
adolescent HIV/TB, PMTC/EID, MNH, Nutrition services delivery and District
Health Systems strengthening(DHSS) in supported districts and produce periodic reports
to key stakeholders in line with performance monitoring plan (PMP).
·
Build
and maintain strategic partnerships and networks for Paediatric and adolescent
HIV/TB, PMTC/EID, MNH, Nutrition services delivery and District health Systems
strengthening in supported districts.
·
Build
and maintain a competent & motivated team of Baylor-Uganda staff within the
different regions/clusters in accordance with Baylor Uganda Human Resources
policy.
·
Monitor
the integration and implementation of Quality Improvement into capacity
building including mentorships.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor of medicines and Bachelor of Surgery (
MBChB) or Bachelor of Nursing Science, Bachelor of Public health with a Medical
clinical officer background.
·
MPH is
an added advantage.
·
At least
three years of relevant work experience
·
You must
have at least a credit 6 in MATHEMATICS and ENGLISH at Ordinary Level (UCE).
