to bring nonexistent services to the countries that were often sought by many
people who frequently moved abroad to seek quality medical care.
Job Summary: The incumbent will oversee technical,
operational leadership as well as coordinating pharmaceutical care activities
at KHL Pharmacy.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Timely,
appropriate ordering/ requisitioning, storage, control and accountability for
all KHL’s pharmaceutical stock; this includes stock taking, routine spot checks
and inspection for near expiry/ expired drugs in the main and mini pharmacies.
·
Ensure
all dispensing procedures are in line with MOH and KHL Policies.
·
Develop,
update and enforce SOPs for the pharmacy department.
·
Rotate
stock of medicines and other products to ensure they are used before the expiry
date.
·
Ensure
that cold chain items are stored at the appropriate temperature and the
temperature control sheets filled daily
·
Prepare
and submit reports to supervisor/management in regard to the performance of the
pharmacy. (stock movement, variances, valuation. Etc)
·
Ensure
the safe and appropriate storage of all pharmaceutical materials and equipment.
·
Ensure
that adequate stocks are maintained at all times.
·
Performance
management of all pharmacy staff.
·
Plan and
organize training and development for the team.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant
must hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Pharmaceutical
·
Three years
of experience in a hospital environment is an added advantage.
·
Required
languages: English with excellent communications skills (Written, Oral &
Presentation)
·
Skill:
MS Office (High Level), Good attention to detail, proactive, flexibility,
Negotiation skills, Good interpersonal skills
