is a leading Human Resource Consultancy. They are recruiting on behalf of a
valuable client, a tertiary education institute.  
Job Summary:  The Business Development Officer will secure
new business opportunities through marketing, sales, improved efficiencies and
innovations, provide up to date business information concerning the external
environment, competitors and industry, thereby enabling appropriate business
decision making over the short, medium and long term. The jobholder will be
tasked with procuring sales through building key business relationships with
NGOs, schools and corporate organisations.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
·       
Contribute
to the development and implementation of the Institute’s marketing and sales
strategies secure new and sustain existing business opportunities.
·       
Engage
with education institutions, corporate bodies and other key stakeholders, pitch
for and sale the business of the Institute, secure and improve student
enrollment and appreciation.
·       
Innovate,
look out for and manage valuable partnerships and engagement plans with key
stakeholders to grow and sustain the Institute’s business.
·       
Maintain
strong working relationships, identify and manage key stakeholders including
detailed action plans to raise awareness and create buy in and support for the
business of the Institute.
·       
Build
strong networks with peer institutes, and other external organisations, and to
leverage their knowledge to benefit the Institute.
·       
Continuously
look for new approaches and opportunities to improve efficiencies for the
Institute, as well as to ensure successful project management and refinement.
·       
Monitor
and report on the external environment, industry and competitors. Assess the
impact of competitor strategies/actions and make recommendations to mitigate
these risks.
·       
Identify
key business risks and advise on appropriate mitigating actions to be put in
place.
·       
Contribute
to and oversee implementation of the Institute’s Business Development
programmes.
·       
Continuously
look for new approaches and opportunities to improve on the enrolment at the
Institute.



Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·       
A
Bachelor’s Degree in the relevant field from a recognized University.
·       
A Post
Graduate qualification in Marketing & Sales is an added advantage.
·       
Business
approach skills and ability to market an education institution.
·       
Experience
in marketing programs for a tertiary educational institution.
·       
Ability
to engage and communicate effectively with all Institute stakeholders.
·       
Excellent
written and oral English skills.
·       
Passion
and ability to influence stakeholders.
·       
High
degree of resilience
