At ZOA we provide relief to people affected by conflict or natural disasters,
contribute to a new perspective of hope in which people work together for a promising
future in dignity and mutual trust. Together with the affected communities we
work on the recovery of their livelihoods.

Country Director
Uganda, ZOA works in two different settings. In West Nile Region, ZOA works on
relief and recovery with refugees and host communities. In Acholi and Karamoja
Region, ZOA works on recovery with former internally displaced people. Working
in close cooperation with the communities we serve, our goal is to create
viable impact.

Job Summary:  The Country Director is overall responsible
for the programmes and operations of ZOA in Uganda.

Your challenge is to
build, to manage, and to ensure the realisation of the objectives of all the
ZOA Uganda programmes.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       The Country Director is the legal
representative of ZOA Uganda

·       Overall Leadership and Management of the ZOA
organisation in Uganda

·       Formulation and implementation of the Country
Annual Plan

·       Programme formulation, development, implementation,
and supervision

·       Overall responsible for the financial
position

·       Human Resource Management for all staff

·       Develop and maintain the relationship with
donors and maintaining relationships with all relevant actors in Uganda

·       Participate in organisation wide programme
and knowledge development; Security management.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       The ideal applicant must hold a University
graduate

·       At least five years of cross-cultural
experience

·       At least five years of relevant management
experience in an international setting

·       Good spoken and written command of English

·       Being a Christian adhering to the Christian
identity of ZOA;

·       The candidate is expected to fully support
the vision and mission of ZOA.

·       Vision and strategic thinking

·       Networking

·       Decision making ability

·       Command of operations and finance

·       Conceptual and writing skills

·       Analytical skills

·       Cultural and organisational sensitivity

·       Participative leadership
