About US:

Horyal Investments Holding Company Ltd has commenced the
process to operationalize a leading new sugar factory at Atiak Uganda, East
Africa. The Factory is  jointly owned by
the Government of Republic of Uganda ,with annual production capacity(APC).
60,000 Tonnes of granular sugar.

Job Summary:  The IT Manager will manage the information
Technology section of the company by maintaining system soft and hardware,
resolving network problems, recommending upgrades, modifications and systems
replacements, giving, support to end users, and to computer infrastructure, and
ensuring that the system is all the time compliant and secure from any
preventable interference’s. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·      
Oversee the administration of the section,
supervising all subordinate staff, and monitoring their punctuality at work,
and effective performance of their duties.

·      
Arrange relevant repair orders and maintenance
schedules for computers.

·      
Assign specific repair and maintenance tasks to
subordinate staff, direct and monitor their performance to specify standards
avail the necessary tools and materials for carrying out the assigned
maintenance tasks.

·      
Monitoring the computers at management computer
room and scheduling them.

·      
Provide regular backups of all company data,
their upkeep and safety as per pre-planned schedules

·      
Support ongoing computer systems applications.

·      
Supervise routine repair work on computers in
accordance with assignment schedules and check all completed work before
handing over the machines to end users

·      
Carry out carry out trouble shooting on hardware
and software problems in various departments

·      
Organize regular preventive hardware maintenance
as well as major faults on computers and their accessories, either internally
or through external agencies as and when required, including setting up new
installations.

·      
Analyze all computer failures brought into the
section for any action maintenance, Advise management on the most effective,
secure.

·      
Reliable and modern methods of protecting all
computer installations with appropriate anti-virus devices all the time.

·      
Provide end user training in effective network
computing.

·      
Coordinate with other network administrators in
the section to update the media library and the ancillary equipment.

·      
Coordinate with inforcom and other internet
service providers, and organize other necessary modifications required by
management from time to time.

·      
Pursue the development of an intranet and
extranet as separate from the public internet Prepare and submit relevant
periodical reports to the CEO about the activities in the section and their
progress

·      
Adhere to the company safety and health
regulations in place in order to maintain a neat and safe working environment.

·      
Perform any other related duties as may be
assigned by the CEO/ management from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant must hold a Degree in
computer science, information technology or related field from a recognized
higher institution of learning.

·      
At least five (5) years hands on experience as a
senior computer supervisor with good supervisory training.

·      
Age: 30-40 Years

·      
In-depth knowledge in computer mechanics,

·      
Good analytical and quick trouble shooting
skills,

·      
Good supervisory skills,

·      
Good training, and teaching skills,

·      
Good communication and interpersonal skills,

·      
Report preparation skills,

·      
Good coordination skills,

·      
Skills in computer servicing and maintenance,

·      
Network installation and systems management
skills.
