Job Summary: The
Program Assistant will support the day-to-day-smooth running of WPDI programs
implemented in the Karamoja sub-region including at the Community Learning
Center in Moroto.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·       
Supporting
the Program Coordinator in the implementation and planning of WPDI programs in
the Karamoja sub-region;

·       
Providing
office administrative support including organization and facilitation for
internal meetings, drafting agendas, and taking minutes;

·       
Supporting
the Program Coordinator in administrative-related functions, including but not
limited to ordering supplies and securing program materials/supplies as needed;

·       
Contributing
to the collection and monitoring of evaluation data from Program participants,
and support the production of program evaluation materials;

·       
Maintaining
records of the graduates from WPDI trainings in Conflict Resolution Education,
Information and Communication Technology, business and arts & crafts and
the Community Learning Center in Karamoja and in schools;

·       
Ensuring
that the WPDI database of graduates in all trainings is updated on a regular
basis;

·       
Keeping
record of all surveys disseminated to program participants and contributing to
the summary evaluation of the surveys;

·       
Supporting
the preparation/organization and delivery of WPDI trainings and activities
organized at the Community Learning Center in Moroto and at the community
level;

·       
Contributing
to the drafting of monthly, interim and annual reports;

·       
Supporting
the maintenance of WPDI Community Learning Center in Moroto;

·       
Conducting
periodic inventory verification of assets of the office and Community- Learning
Center.

·       
Ensuring
presence at WPDI office during working hours by receiving visitors, answering
phone calls, receiving /recording mails and general correspondences.

·       
Ensuring
the organization and coordination of the missions of WPDI’s representatives in
Karamoja;

·       
Carrying
out any additional activities that may be assigned by the Program Coordinator
of WPDI in Karamoja.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Diploma in Office management or relevant field

·       
A
minimum of two to three years of work experience directly related to the duties
and responsibilities specified.

·       
Proven
ability to work efficiently, under pressure, and in multicultural environment,
must be a team player, and able to work with a diverse team of youth,
communicate with sensitivity and respect

·       
Language: Excellent written and spoken English,
Ngakarimojong, Pokot and Leb Thur
