TB and related clinical and implementation science research Organization with
more than 350 employees is seeking interested, committed and reliable professionals
with the described qualifications to apply for the following positions in the
support of the following studies: MIRASOL clinical trial, a four year US
Department of Defense funded project and EDCTP funded PREPARE & WOMANPOWER
consortium activities lead by MUJHU as well as cross-cutting MUJHU activities.

Job Summary:   The Retention & Community Officer will be
working closely with other professionals on the study team to retain study participants
for the study.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Provide
health education to study participants.

·       
Retention
of study participants in the research studies. This includes targeted follow-up
through phone calls, other communication of enrolled study participants with
the goal of achieving high retention rates.

·       
Work
closely with District Health Teams (DHT) to conduct verbal autopsies.

·       
DHT
training on verbal autopsy and data collection

·       
Collect
study participants’ locator information

·       
Maintain
proper study documentation.

·       
Perform any
other duties reasonably assigned by the relevant authorities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a diploma in Midwifery/Nursing or any related medical
training from a recognized education institution.

·       
Certificate
in Good Clinical practice is required.

·       
Three years
of clinical and/or counseling experience in a busy hospital or clinic is
preferred.

·       
Prior
Health Visiting experience will be an added advantage.

·       
Must be
self – motivated individual, with a keen eye to details and proper research
documentation skills and willing to work late hours.

·       
Excellent
team player

·       
Good interpersonal
and communication skills.

·       
Computer
skills in MS Office, MS excel in manage time effectively and prioritize work
tasks.
