paediatric HIV/AIDS care and treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of
Excellence and international program offices in 11 countries across Africa and
Eastern Europe

Job Summary:   The Quality Assurance Coordinator will ensure
compliance of clinical research studies with GCP, study protocols, national
regulations and ethics standards

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Develop
and update monitoring plans for studies and share with the respective study
coordinators

·       
Monitor
and assess the implementation of study protocols

·       
Conduct
formal and periodic internal monitoring of study activities to access compliance,
agreement and validity of clinical research procedures and data

·       
Work
closely with the STUDY PIs/IoRs and CQM Lead to develop and track
implementation of corrective and preventive action relevant to the identified
root causes of errors.

·       
Make
periodic assessments of frequent and critical errors across all studies

·       
Provide
research specific training

·       
Participate
in the review of the systems and structures for research

·       
Develop
and implement standard operating procedures

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal candidate for the Baylor Uganda Quality Assurance Coordinator job should
hold a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Nursing or equivalent relevant
qualifications

·       
Relevant
master’s degree, experience and training in quality management (QA/QC), GCP and
Human Subjects Protection are not mandatory but are an added advantage

·       
Three
years’ experience as a clinical research conduct (clinical trials).
