About US:

Uganda National Meteorological Authority (UNMA) is a
statutory body established by UNMA Act, 2012. The Act empowers UNMA to provide
for the control and development of technically sound and scientific
meteorological services in Uganda.

Job Summary:  The Human Resource Officer will assist the
Senior Human Resource Officer in the execution of the human resource management
function of the Authority

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Prepare the payroll

·       
Processing and verifying information related to
recruitment, Salary changes, statistics and job analysis.

·       
Drafting letters of appointments, promotion and
confirmation

·       
Helping in assessing terminal benefits like
pensions and gratuities.

·       
Collecting data and other vital statistics
relating to recruiting and training.

·       
Manages staff leave and attendance registers

·       
Any other duties as may be assigned from time to
time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The ideal candidate for the Uganda National
Meteorological Authority (UNMA) Human Resource Officer job must hold an honors’
Bachelor degree in Human Resource OR

·       
An honors Social Sciences degree plus a post
graduate diploma in HRM obtained from a recognized Institution.

·       
At least four years of experience in a reputable
organization.

·       
Conversant with the Integrated Personnel and
Payroll System (IPPS)

·       
Conflict resolution skills

·       
Attention to detail,

·       
An effective team player,

·       
Interpersonal skills,

·       
Written and verbal communication skills

·       
Age: 25 years and above
