Job Summary:  The Clearing & Forwarding Business
Development Executive will create new business, maintain existing business
relationships, as well as oversee smooth operations of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

Business Development

·       
Bringing
sales of all products such as warehousing, local distribution. Air freight, sea
Freight and road transport

·       
Identifying,
developing and growing the sales revenue and marketing of the products and
services.

·       
Present
company products and services to customers always furthering relationships
through regular visits to qualified prospects and customers, in accordance

·       
Conducts
quarterly business reviews with clients and submit reports in an accurate and
timely manner.

·       
Self
manages various administrative aspects including Expense reporting in
accordance with company’s budget.

Operations –
Clearing and forwarding

·       
Ensure
customs entries are prepared with Zero errors and entered accurately into
Asycuda system

·       
Monitor
and ensure entries have been processed at the document center once payment has
been made and perform quality assurance on work processed

·       
Effectively
handle all issues arising from disputes over tariffs and valuation at every
stage of clearance

·       
Effectively
liaise with stakeholders, clients, URA, Customs, shipping lines and staff from
other departments to ensure accurate procedures are followed

·       
Any
other duties assigned

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant
must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Transport and Logistics, Business
Administration or any business-related field

·       
Two years’
experience working within a clearing & forwarding company.

·       
Must
hold a certificate in East African Freight Forwarding.

·       
Training
and Certification in Asycuda systems, with at least 1-year use of the URA Asycuda
system will also be an added advantage

·       
Possess
experience in Clearing & Forwarding operations and management with good
knowledge of shipping documentation and custom procedures

·       
Have
relevant experience in the market place with a strong business development
background.

·       
Have a
good detailed understanding on the market trends and demand.

·       
Demonstrate
the ability to take initiative and responsibility

·       
Confident,
well spoken with excellent communication skills
