Job Title:      Financial Planning Analysis &
Reporting Manager

Reports to: Chief
Finance Officer

largest energy distributor in Uganda, distributing 97 percent of all
electricity used in the country. The shares of the stock of the company are
listed on the Uganda Securities Exchange and are cross listed on the Nairobi
Stock Exchange.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Coordinate
and prepare Annual budget and operating plan

·       
Prepare
monthly financial business, cost and KPI reports

·       
Manage
monthly cost review meetings

·       
Take a
lead in cost management, cost efficiency, and cost control

·       
Lead the
business information team and make the best use of data to support and enhance
the business

·       
Prepare
quarterly forecasts

·       
Work
with all functions to prepare business cases and post-implementation analysis

·       
Establish
and lead a revenue assurance function

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
ideal applicant for the Umeme Financial Planning Analysis & Reporting
Manager job must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics or
any other associated discipline from a recognized university.

·       
A professional
qualification in accounting, ACCA or CPA.

·       
At least
five years of continuously progressive and relevant working experience with at
least 3 years at a supervisory level.

·       
Knowledge
of investment portfolio strategy, banking, and financial instruments

·       
Excellent
technical financial and accounting skills

·       
Advanced
analytical, organization, and interpersonal skills.

·       
Experience
in setting up, implementing and monitoring strong financial control systems.

·       
Good
understanding of Ugandan tax legislation is added advantage.

·       
Proficiency
in Spreadsheet use and Financial Modeling skills

·       
Able to
thrive in a fast-paced setting/environment.

·       
Excellent
collaboration, verbal and written communication

·       
Ability
to break down challenges into meaningful parts and come to rational and
well-thought-out conclusions

·       
Attention
to detail and accuracy.

·       
Interested
in process improvement.

·       
Willing
to adapt quickly to quick changes in direction.
