Mandela National
Stadium often referred to as Namboole Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in
Kampala, Uganda. It is currently used mostly for football matches, although
other sports are also practiced. The stadium has a capacity of 40,202 people.
The stadium was built with a grant of $36 million dollars from the People’s
Republic of China. The 40,202 capacity sports complex was built with a $36m
Chinese government grant and opened in 1997.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Assist
in testing and modifying electrical installations, electrical control equipment
and circuitry in the Stadium;
·
Assists
in assembling and testing experimental motor-control devices, switch panels,
transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other electrical equipment and
components according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical
principles;
·
Assist
in recording periodic electrical testing, and recommends or initiates
modification or replacement of equipments that fail to meet acceptable
operating standards;
·
Maintain
inventory of tools, equipment and materials
·
Any
other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The
applicant must hold a Certificate in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or in
Craft Part II in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (UNEB/UBTEB)

One (1)
year of relevant experience
