The Uganda Electricity Distribution Company Limited (UEDCL)
is a limited liability company incorporated in Uganda under the Companies Act.
UEDCL owns the 33KV and below voltage electricity distribution network and all
the operational assets associated with the business currently leased to Umeme
Ltd. UEDCL monitors Umeme Ltd’s investment, distributes power in eight (8)
territories covering over 60 Districts operates the pole plant at Lugogo, and
executes some of the rural electrification schemes on behalf of the Ministry of
Energy and Mineral Resources.

Trainee Program:
Through the annual UEDCL Graduate Trainee Program, the
company is seeking to recruit qualified, competent and highly motivated fresh
graduate trainees in the following functions:

Human Resource
·
Legal Procurement
·
Internal Audit
·
Finance and Accounting
·
Investment and Monitoring
·
Geographical Information System (GIS)
·
Information Communication Technology (ICT)
·
Electrical Engineering
·
Public Relations
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicants for the UEDCL Graduate Trainee
Program should hold Bachelor’s degrees in these fields; Finance and Accounting,
Information Communication Technology (ICT), Human Resource, Electrical
Engineering, Public Relations, Internal Audit, Geographical Information System
(GIS), Investment and Monitoring and Legal Procurement
·
Priority is on applicants with 2nd class upper
and first-class honors
·
Candidates with 2nd class lower degree who did
an internship in the energy sector may apply too
·
Applicants must have graduated between 2018 to
2020
