Job Summary:  The Human Resource (HR) / Administration
Officer will provide HR and admin support to assist the  day-to-day functioning and well being of the
Samaritan’s Purse country office in Kampala.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·       Maintain up-to-date personnel files and human resource records.
·       Work with hiring managers to support the recruitment of new staff,
preparation of internal/external documents, interviewing, reference checks and
contract preparation.
·       Support monthly payroll processing, including generation of monthly
pay slips.
·       Serve as point person for issues pertaining to staff insurance and benefits.
·       Ensure utility bills, phone bills and rents are paid on time.
·       Maintain adequate stock of stationary, cleaning supplies and other
general office supplies.
·       Coordinate hosting of international visitors.
·       Line manage Office Caretaker to ensure interior and exterior
spaces are kept in good order.
·       Work with service providers to ensure high standards of service
delivery (e.g. security, phone).
·       Maintain proper filing of all Admin related documents, reports and
·       Conduct all activities in the most cost-effective and efficient manner,
in line with Samaritan’s Purse, Government of Uganda and donor policies and
best practices.
·       Any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·       The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in HR Management,
Administration, or other related discipline.
·        At least two (2) years’
experience in similar role, preferably within the NGO sector.
·       Full, clean, valid Ugandan driving license
·       Proficient in Microsoft
Office packages (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
·       Proactive, resourceful and results-oriented; good problem solver and
attention to detail.
·       Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
·       Ability to handle sensitive information and maintain
·       Commitment to excellence, integrity and stewardship of resources.
