Job Summary:    The
Fleet Assistant (Driver) will provide support to the project team through
transporting official documents and staff to and from the field.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Ensure
that vehicle log books are updated on a daily basis for proper recording of
mileage;

·       
Collect
and deliver all official mail as may be directed by office staff;

·       
Ensure
constant safety of the vehicle’s road worthiness by carrying out daily checks;

·       
Report
periodic servicing needs of the vehicles in advance to ensure its proper
handling;

·       
Ensure
that the vehicle is clean all the time;

·       
Ensure
safe keeping of vehicle accessories e.g., Jack, first aid kit, etc’;

·       
Ensure
that all immediate actions required by rules and regulations are taken in case
of an accident;

·       
Manage
Drivers performance including carrying out periodic training.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a High School Qualification;

·       
Valid
and accident free driving license;

·       
At least
five years’ of work experience as a driver in an organizational setting, with a
safe driving record;

·       
Proven
qualifications in defensive driving;

·       
Good
command of English. Knowledge of another common local language is an added
advantage; and

·       
Good
knowledge of the country map and its routes.
