NRC also runs the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva, a global
leader in reporting on and advocating for people displaced within their own
country.

Job Summary:  To support the Isingiro field office in
ensuring that the finance department functions are efficient through financial
accounting, management, monitoring and reporting. 

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·      
Support the day to day reconciliations and
analysis of BVA 

·      
Ensure field closures are conducted according to
the agreed timeline issued by the finance department

·      
Provide trainings and support to the finance and
non-finance team regarding the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures and NRC
Internal Control 

·      
Assist in year-end closures and audit document
preparations 

·      
Participate in and facilitate field level
finance training as required 

·      
Participate in staff / field meetings and
provide clarity on finical procedures and policies 

·      
Ensure Adherence to NRC financial policies,
tools, handbook and guidelines 

·      
Implement any other delegated support function
action to plan of action 

·      
Ensure profiling of all financial documents 

·      
Promote and share ideas for improvements 

·      
Ensuring that accurate and timely accounts are
submitted to the country office 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor degree
in Business Administration, commerce, finance and accounting 

·      
CPA level 2 certification is an added
advantage 

·      
Minimum of five years experiences (at least 3
years with an INGO/ large organization)

·      
Knowledge of Agresso will be an added
advantage 

·      
Good command of English Language 

·      
Very good computer skills especially, Microsoft
packages; and a strong experience of computerized accounting system 

·      
Knowledge of local context (South western
Uganda) 

·      
Experience working in a humanitarian
context 

·      
Personal qualities

·      
Strong attention to details 

·      
Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to
work in a cross cultural team 

·      
High level of integrity 

·      
Ability to work independently under minimal
supervision
