Movit Products Ltd is a Ugandan personal care company based
in Kampala, manufacturing personal care products. Its brands include Movit,
Radiant, Baby Junior, Skin Guard, Pine and NAN. The company was founded in
1997, by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift workshop in Namasuba, Wakiso District.
In 1999 the first Movit product, Herbal Baby Jelly, was put on the market. Over
the years, Movit, the company’s flagship name, has grown into one of Uganda’s
top cosmetics brands with distribution links in both East Africa and the COMESA
regions. Other known products from Movit include the Body Milk Lotion, Junior
Petroleum Jelly, Movit No base Relaxer and many more

Job Summary: The
creative designer is responsible for providing brand awareness through creative
branding in terms of labels, packaging, posters, displays and other advertising
materials

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       
Create design concepts, and communication
layouts based on knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design;

·       
Develop graphics and layouts for product
illustrations and presentations;

·       
Maintain archive of images, photos, or previous
work products for use and reference in the future;

·       
Manage assigned field graphic projects to ensure
the agreed designs are adhered to; and

·       
Generate monthly reports highlighting the
achievements of the month, challenges experienced and the way forward.

·       
Suggestion of creative design concepts and
communication layouts

·       
New and attractive graphics for use in marketing

·       
Proper documentation of all creative design
works

·       
Accurate execution of the creative design work
plan

·       
Update and submit weekly reports to the manager

·       
Nature of Decision Making:

Analytical Decisions

Operation Decisions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Art and Design,

·       
Be relevant in design software applications e.g.
Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign etc.

·       
Time management skills

·       
Trendy

·       
Keen to details

·       
Confident and bold

·       
Maturity

·       
Aggressive

·       
At least three (3) years’ experience in the
previous grade
