About US:

Movit Products Ltd is a Ugandan personal care company based
in Kampala, manufacturing personal care products. Its brands include Movit,
Radiant, Baby Junior, Skin Guard, Pine and NAN. The company was founded in
1997, by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift workshop in Namasuba, Wakiso District.
In 1999 the first Movit product, Herbal Baby Jelly, was put on the market. Over
the years, Movit, the company’s flagship name, has grown into one of Uganda’s
top cosmetics brands with distribution links in both East Africa and the COMESA
regions. Other known products from Movit include the Body Milk Lotion, Junior
Petroleum Jelly, Movit No base Relaxer and many more

Job Summary: The
purpose of this job is to carry out field research, competitor analysis,
proposal assessment, preparation of marketing and brand proposals.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       
Manage the branding team through allocation of
work, deployment, leave management and submission of work plans;

·       
Offer training to the branding team through
coaching, on the job training and training needs identification to ensure they
have desirable pre-requisite skills;

·       
Assess proposals for events sponsorship to
establish viability of investing in events;

·       
Execute branding activities to ensure
competitive brand positioning, creation and increase of brand awareness and
lead generation;

·       
Build strategic alliances and customer
relationships to ensure competitive brand positioning;

·       
Carry out market audits to analyse competitors
and measure customer perceptions of the brand;

·       
Generate innovative ideas and projects for the
brand to enable effective competition of the brand among peers in the market;

·       
Generation of innovative ideas and projects to
promote the brand

·       
Management and supervision of the brand team

·       
Training of the brand team

·       
Assessment of proposals for event sponsorship

·       
Execution of brand events

·       
Conducting market audits

·       
Building key customer relationships

·       
Analytical decisions

·       
Operational decisions

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in a relevant field

·       
Should have a Professional qualification in a
relevant field

·       
Computer literacy

·       
working knowledge of statistical or qualitative
software packages

·       
Knowledge of professional standard

·       
Budgeting

·       
Knowledge of relevant legislation.  

·       
Communication skills

Ability to work under pressure

At least three (3) years of relevant work
