About USAID Project:

Malaria Consortium received funding from USAID/PMI to
implement a 5-year project: The Malaria Action Program for Districts (MAPD).
This project aims to prevent and control malaria illnesses and deaths in order
to minimize the social economic effects of the disease among the overall
population of Uganda and especially in children under 5 years of age. The
project began in August 2016, and covers 52 districts with a total population
of more than 13 million

Job Summary:  The M&E Officer is responsible for
implementing the overall M&E framework and related activities within the
project in the districts of operation.

 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·
The ideal applicant must be an undergraduate
degree in Statistics, Project Management, Public Health, or a related subject

·
Advanced training in Monitoring and Evaluation

·
At least 3 to 5 years’ of work experience in
M&E

·
Experience with performance monitoring and
evaluation for international or national development projects, including
developing performance indicators, data collection and analysis

·
Experience in the design and implementation of
data collection and data management systems

·
Experience in data analysis and evaluation

·
Experience in translating data into accessible
reports for diverse audiences

·       Experience conducting large scale
quantitative surveys

·
Experience in engaging and supporting others to
contribute to M&E work

·
Knowledge of project management techniques and
tools

·
Familiarity with the Ugandan health system

·
Experience in writing project reports

·
Experience conducting qualitative data
collection and analysis
