UGAFODE Microfinance Limited (MDI) is a registered financial
institution in Uganda and is adherent to the Central Bank’s regulations and
guidelines and was founded in 1994 to provide quality microfinance services.

Job Summary:   The Sales
and Marketing Officers (SMO) are responsible for performing several activities
related to establishing and maintaining valuable customer relationships through
selling the institutions products and services by meeting customers’ needs and
ensuring that they feel appreciated so as to enhance UGAFODE’s competitive
advantage in line with compliance, best practice and risk perspectives.

Bombo Road, Ibanda, Ishaka, Jinja, Kagadi, Kyotera, Lira, Lyantonde, Mbale,
Mbarara, Mpigi, Nakasero, Nakivale, Nansana, Ntungamo, Rubaga Road, Rukungiri,
Rushere and Sembabule.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Conducting sales: As per approved
sales strategy for the institution, perform sales activities for both loan and
liability products by identifying prospecting customers so as to maximize value
out of company products and services within current and future delivery
channels and branches.

·       
Customer Service standards: Offer
good customer service to existing and prospective customers in compliance with
set service standards so as to foster efficiency, Turn Around time in the
management of customer feedback in the growth of sales for the institution.

·       
Submitting sales reports: Documents
and submits timely and accurate sales reports such as Activity/Call reports,
new to book customers, value realized out of customers, retention vs exited
customers, Product performance reports etc. so as to track performance against
set targets, support accountability and growth of the sales segment within
UGAFODE.

·       
Adherence to Compliance requirements:
Conduct and coordinate sales activities in compliance to the bank’s and market
standards in regards to; on- boarding and retention of customers through a
professional account relationship management and customer service process
perspectives.

·       
Support with debt recovery measures: Regularly
monitors loan performance, undertakes calls, visits, follow ups and/ other
approved measures aimed at supporting clean loan portfolio in line with credit
guidelines and procedures as approved from time to time.

·       
Managing sales budget: In line with
annual sales plan, performs all sales and submits due accountability for all
financial resources approved in the performance of such sales activities across
the institution in a timely manner.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·       
The ideal candidates for the UGAFODE
Microfinance Limited (MDI) Sales and Marketing Officer job must hold Diplomas
in Business management/Administration, Marketing, Economics or any other
business related subject.

·       
At least one year of related work experience in
a financial institution or from any sales-driven environment.

·       
Any prior experience in sales and or marketing
is added advantage.
