Policy Specialist will transform, inspire and deliver high impact and sustained

results.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate for the United Nations
UNFPA Policy Specialist job opportunity should hold an advanced
degree in humanities, health policy, communication, population studies or other
related field.
·
A minimum of seven years of experience and
exposure in providing policy-advisory or consulting services to senior
leadership in public or private sectors. Whereas a technical expertise in
demography / population studies or economics is desirable, the incumbent will
have to possess skills and competencies in managing various degrees of
complexity and to possess a strong leadership acumen.

Specifically the incumbent will have to
demonstrate a high degree of flexibility and adaptability and which enable her
/ him to connect the dots strategically among and in between different systems
and dimensions of decision-making. The incumbent will also have to demonstrate
dynamism and openness to differences as well as a high acumen of innovation an
creativity. Strategic communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas
clearly and simply, coupled with excellent writing skills are a must.

Languages:
Fluency in English; knowledge of other official UN languages,
preferably French and/or Spanish, is desirable.
