Hotel in the suburbs of Kampala
Job Summary:  The Sales and Marketing Manager is directly
responsible for income generation through strategic business sales activities
and overall positioning of the hotel, development of customer database and
satisfaction.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
Sales
·      
Make market trend analysis and establish pricing
strategies that are favorable. Ensuring that we don’t under sell on pricing
which will be reviewed every month to plan for special events like weekend
rates, public holiday packages.
·      
Have to sell room nights and meeting rooms above
the set rates.
·      
Provide strategic plans for meeting financial
objectives with the sales team.
·      
Create effective sales programs that will
increase awareness and positive perception of the Hotel and its services.
·      
Contribute to income generation through acquiring
customers and ensuring excellent customer services to ensure that the hotel
meets and exceeds budgeted targets.
·      
Provide management with overall sales
performance reports. You must hold sales and marketing reviews every month to
make any adjustments that will be favorable to the success of reaching our
targets.
·      
Create a sales customer central database with
company details, contact person and customer feedback inclusive of any
complaints.
Supervision
·      
Oversee the recruitment and hiring of any sales
personnel and ensuring that proper induction takes place, strategies, sales
data base and market target are understood and complied with.
·      
Supervise and monitor sales team activities to
assess productivity and take corrective action in motivating or disciplining
poor performance.
·      
Align each market segment with an effective
sales member to attain set targets per month.
·      
And any other duties in line with this position
that may be assigned under the company’s discretion.



   
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·      
The ideal applicant must hold a Diploma/degree
in Public Relations/Marketing/Leisure and hospitality or any relevant course
·      
General knowledge of Sales and Marketing
principles.                                                 
·      
Excellent customer service knowledge.
·      
Communication skills that allow good hospitality
for customers.
·      
Listening skills to understand what clients
require.
·      
Knowledgeable about making strategic
presentations.
·      
At least 5 years’ experience in sales and
marketing
