Job Summary:  The Regional Operations Coordinator will serve
the operational and procurement needs for Samaritan’s Purse field offices
located in Uganda, South Sudan and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).The
ROC will work closely with the Uganda Country Director (CD), and work remotely
with key Samaritan’s Purse staff in South Sudan and the DRC. You will have the
opportunity to manage and pour into a small team who will serve alongside you
in Uganda.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·      
Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus
Christ and be an effective witness for Him

·      
Manage 1-3 national staff to effectively meet
the procurement needs of SP Uganda, South Sudan and the DRC

·      
Facilitate and oversea the large/bulk procurement
requests and logistics for all 3 SP field offices

·      
Develop a procurement and logistics plan, based
on program needs and deadlines; monitor plan to ensure accuracy of information
and that goals are met

·      
Maintain transparency and integrity – ensuring
the correct products, quantities, vendors, and prices all align with the SP
Procurement Policy and requested deadlines

·      
Ensure all international procurement and
logistics regulations are in compliance with government regulations

·      
Manage strategic relationships with vendors,
transporters and government/immigration authorities

·      
Trouble shoot challenges and find cost effective
solutions

·      
Ensure on-time submission of monthly reports,
both financial and programming, maintaining high integrity and transparency

·      
All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree from
a 4 year college or university in a relevant field

·      
At least two to four years of experience in
procurement and logistics, or related international work experience

·      
Proven management and leadership experience;
Strong relational skills and financial management skills

·      
Excellent planning and organizational skills;
detail-oriented

·      
Ability to maintain deadlines and hold others
accountable

·      
Flexibility, adaptability and ability to work
with a diverse team in a pressured environment

·      
Spiritually mature, focused on the spiritual
well-being of your team and goal of sharing the Gospel

·      
Ability to travel to field sites to monitor
projects, as needed

·      
Big picture, “think outside the box” mindset;
trouble shooter

·      
Fluency in English (required)
