Job Title:   Quality Assurance Officer

About US:

Uganda Clays Limited is Uganda’s leading manufacturer of
quality building products located at Kajjansi, 14 Kilometers along
Kampala-Entebbe Road with a second factory at Kamonkoli in Mbale.

Job Summary: The
Quality Assurance Officer is responsible for working together with the Quality
team in quality planning, system development and implementation..

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·      
Support proper and effective strategic and
tactical planning for Quality Assurance

·      
Ensure that there is proper management oi all
quality monitoring activities at all times

·      
Participate in quality improvement lo support
continuous improvement throughout the company operations

·      
Ensure that there is proper documentation and
reporting ofall quality monitoring systems in place

·      
Lead direct report, in a manner that empowers
them to efficiently produce connect standard and quantity of products and
deliver excellent customer service

·      
Take personal responsibility for ensuring that
Uganda Clay‘s Safety procedures are implemented at all Times

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant must hold a Degree in
industrial Chemistry, Chemical engineering, industrial art General engineering
with ceramics as a major

·      
Good knowledge of Ceramics manufacturing
processes: Clay preparation, Product Moulding. buming, airflow, combustion and
product grading.

·      
Good knowledge of physiochemical characteristics
of raw materials, products, parameters and standards applied to Clay products
manufacturing.

·      
Good knowledge of the clients’ uses of the
products and of the controlling parameters.

·      
In-depth knowledge of quality control methods
and instruments

·      
In-depth knowledge on health and Safety

·      
Good knowledge of process control statistical
methods and experimental design

·      
At least three years’ experience in quality control
and monitoring operations
