Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre in Geneva, a global leader in reporting
on and advocating for people displaced within their own country.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

General responsibilities

·      
Assist in designing data collection methods and
tools to be used in monitoring of field activities

·      
Support 
the program teams in needs assessment, baseline, outputs and outcome
monitoring and evaluation  of on-going
activities

·      
Prepare and submit periodic  M&E reports as per the agreed reporting
schedules per project

·      
Conduct routine monitoring and follow up of  project activities

·      
Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and
guidelines

·      
Assist with the implementation of the support
function portfolio according to plan of action

·      
Prepare and develop status reports as required
by management

·      
Ensure proper filing of  all project documents as required

·      
Promote and share ideas for improvement of the
support function

Specific responsibilities

·      
Responsible for Managing, recording, sharing,
following up and consolidating community feedback of NRC activities and ensure
those feedbacks are shared with the team

·      
Work closely with the program teams and M&E

·      
Responsible for collections, entry, cleaning and
analysis of data 

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The applicant for the Norwegian Refugee Council
(NRC) Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant job must hold a university degree in
social sciences, statistics, information systems management or related qualifications

·      
Additional Qualifications in Monitoring and
Evaluation, and / or Project Planning and Management will be an advantage

·      
At least one year of experiences in M&E
department; exposure in an NGO environment is an advantage

·      
Experience collaborating with multiple
stakeholders

·      
Ability to receive, handle and store
confidential project information

·      
Fluency in both oral and written English and
Knowledge of Kiswahili or Runyakitara

professional background

·      
Communicate clearly and respectfully

·      
Flexible, creative and open minded

·      
Able to work under pressure, with minimum
supervision
