Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) in West Nile, registered with the National
NGO Board and operating in West Nile (Uganda).
Job Summary: The Finance and Logistics Assistant will ensure
that Project financial resources are properly utilized for cost-effective implementation
of planned activities. The jobholder will ensure timely preparation of project
accounts in accordance with best practice and agreed reporting protocols .
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Maintain
proper Books of Account
·
Maintain
reliable and accurate accounting records in respect of the project
·
Ensure
prompt preparation of periodic financial reports pertaining to the Project
activities;
·
Responsible
for selecting and maintaining records on deliveries, distribution of goods and
services as planned in the project.
·
Implement
approved financial and accounting policies and procedures;
·
Enforce
sound financial internal controls;
·
Assist
in preparation of Annual Budgets and Cash Flow forecasts/statements for
Donor-funded activities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The applicant
must hold a B. Com (Finance/Accounting), Procurement & Logistics, Business
Administration
·
Professional
qualification such as ACCA, CPA from recognized institutions
·
Excellent
IT skills, Excellent administration and organization skills
·
Strong
interpersonal skills and leadership capacity
·
Experience
in a Non-Governmental Organization and/or Private Sector.
·
Excellent
written and verbal communication skills in English;
·
Ability
to prioritize and work under pressure to deadlines
·
Ability
to ride motorcycle and valid riding permit an added advantage.
