NIC Holdings has two subsidiaries which include NIC General Insurance Company
Limited and NIC Life Assurance Company Limited.

Job Summary:  The Legal Officer will provide legal services
to the Company under the governing laws, company rules and regulations by
representations in courts, drafting and offering legal briefs to the BOD and
Management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·       
Negotiating
settlements out of court

·       
Giving
legal advice to various departments

·       
Drafting,
vetting and approving legal documents

·       
Assisting
in debt recovery.

·       
Following
up with witnesses for cases filed in court

·       
Attending
court as and when required by lawyers

·       
Liaising
with the external Advocates on cases filed in court

·       
Researching
on legal cases for purposes of processing claims

·       
Reviewing
and assessing Third Party Claims.

·       
Ensuring
witnesses attend court

·       
Following
up on recovery cases in court

·       
Any
other duties assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The
applicant must hold a Bachelors of Law Degree

·       
Admitted
as an advocate of the High Court with a current practicing certificate

·       
At least
two years’ experience in a large and reputable firm/ Organization.

·       
Proficient
in the use of Microsoft office suite and packages.
