About US:

Chemonics International Inc., a US-based international
development organization, seeks a Data Analytics Specialist for the anticipated
USAID five-year Integrated Child and Youth Development (ICYD) Activity in
Uganda. This activity will aim to improve youth learning outcomes (P1-P4
reading in local language and English), while ensuring that children and youth
are safe and healthy in their community and learning environments.
Specifically, this activity will improve learning outcomes, address primary
school retention, provide technical assistance to orphans and vulnerable
children (OVC) service providers, and employ high-impact local partnerships to
accomplish the activity’s objectives. This position will be based in Kampala,
Uganda with intermittent travel throughout the country.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:  

·      
Work to ensure that data is accessible,
comprehensible, and effectively used by ICYD technical teams, sub-partners, and
government counterparts;

·      
Support data collection and quality assurance
efforts with the Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) team;

·      
Conduct statistical analysis, synthesize
findings, and share information;

·      
Promote data use through the creation and
implementation of data visualization, dashboards, and decision-making tools;

·      
Support MEL team to streamline and strengthen
systems and processes for data collection, aggregation, and validation.

·      
Provide capacity building support to sub-partner
MEL staff in data analytics.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree
required; Master’s or other advanced degree in data analytics, statistics, or
related field preferred;

·      
At least five years of data analytics experience
required;

·      
Experience using MEL data analysis and tracking
systems required;

·      
Significant experience in data collection,
dissemination methodologies, and indicator target creation;

·      
Experience and knowledge of the principles of
quantitative and qualitative research, research design, and mixed-methods
research;

·      
Knowledge of USAID and/or PEPFAR funding and its
contractual and reporting requirements required – experience working on
USAID-funded health or education programs strongly preferred;

·      
Experience with USAID’s Collaborating, Learning
and Adapting (CLA) framework preferred;

·      
Demonstrated leadership, versatility, and
integrity.
