Hotel in the suburbs of Kampala
Job Summary: The
Accounts Assistant shall support the daily transactions through processing
payements and managing invoices.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Process tax payments on a monthly basis for
NSSF, PAYE, LST, Returns and VAT.
·
Process all invoices and make follow ups with
clients for payments.
·
Manage operating cash floats with daily
reconciliations with the Front Office.
·
Assist the Accountant with systems
administration, account reconciliation, inventories, and monthly closings.
·
Perform follow-up billing and credit collection
documentation and inform Accountant of any potential uncollected accounts.
·
Manage accounts filing system with updated
records for outstanding invoices, LPOs.
·
Maintains accounting databases by entering data
into the accounting program.
·
Book keeping activities, working with sales and
purchase ledgers and running calculations to ensure that records and payments
are correct.
·
And any other duties in line with this position
that may be assigned under the company’s discretion.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
Excellent and articulate about accounting
details and general principles
·
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
Degree in Finance and Accounting.
·
At least one year experience in the same role
