Job Summary: The Business Bankers will provide pro-active business
banking sales and service management function that will retain and grow a
portfolio of SME customers by identifying and implementing value adding and
specialized financial product solutions from a range of standard and/or
customized offering.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·       Execute an operational plan to support the branch and
the Bank’s overall business strategies while delivering targeted achievements
on business and institutional client growth, fees/commission and interest
income.

·       Provide adequate and efficient relationship management
to business and institutional clients, in terms of quick transaction turnaround
and resolution of their queries/problems.

·       Provide timely professional direction/advice on all
business and institutional client matters within the Branch/Bank.

·        Work closely
with the Head Office teams to develop and cross-sell new products and programs
while continually keeping abreast with the development of new products and
changes to the industry

·       Ensure the application of adequate and robust
processes and controls (automated/ manual) at an origination level to ensure
compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

·       Managing the end-to-end process for all account
relationships opened and credit applications initiated to ensure a smooth deal
flow whilst meeting / exceeding revenue targets.

·       Manage the loan portfolio by active participation in
branch credit committee meetings, monitor/ manage pre-Non Performing Loans
(NPLs) and fully recover bank funds.

·        Monitor and
assess the progress of business and institutional clients within own portfolio
by reviewing daily exception reports and discussing significant matters with
the Branch Manager.

·       Evaluate existing as well as new business and
institutional products/ services and provide recommendations on ways to improve
the effectiveness/ efficiency of the transactions related to the same.

·       Compile relevant MIS on periodic basis to inform and
support the actions of Management.

·       Ensure system and quality enhancements by monitoring
the respective activities and processes implemented, and by keeping abreast of
new methodologies and practices.

·       Adhere to all reporting and record-keeping
requirements as outlined by Branch Management, head office stakeholders and
duly-mandated external parties to ensure compliance to internal and regulatory
standards.

·       Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       The ideal applicant must  be a holder of an honors Bachelor’s degree in
Business Management or related field preferably in Accounting, Finance, and
Commerce, Marketing, Statistics, Economics or Statistics from a recognized
university

·       At least two years’ experience in relationship
management or sales experience in branch banking

·       Good knowledge of the Business Banking value
proposition.

·       Sound knowledge of the bank’s policies and procedures
relating to all areas under his/her control.

·       Good knowledge of bank policy regarding product
criteria, pricing, charges and interest rates

·       Business Behaviours

·       Excellent inter-personal skills to enable interaction
and the establishment of positive relationships with all Bank employees and
support departments.

·        Able to
maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet the Bank’s
core values.

·       Strong numeracy skills

communication skill
