Job Summary: Leverage and optimise people, resources, channels, business and risk
controls in line with market potential, to maximise business growth, retention
and profitability targets for the Region

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·      
Drive service excellence in the Region by planning, continuous
monitoring, enforcement of all SLAs, service standards and service initiatives
with the Bank

·      
Forecast and plan service demand by taking into account resources, market
demands, structure, cost, operational risk and system capabilities for the
region

·      
Drive and manage the delivery of a multi-channel sales and service
strategy across the region to attract, grow and retain quality personal and SME
business

·      
Optimize revenue streams and focus market management efforts to grow
revenue

·      
Keep abreast of local market dynamics; identify changes, risks and
opportunities

·      
Run business, control, coordinate activities, adherence to set guidelines,
job descriptions, governance and execution

·      
Monitor and manage complete regulatory compliance in the region

·      
Create a people centric culture, understanding the people impact on
customer satisfaction measures and bottom line gainPlan and manage staff capacity
for the Region

·      
Lead the region in implementing strategic people initiatives and inspire
Branch managers to take action

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelor of Commerce degree from a
recognized university

·      
Masters degree in a Business related field an added advantage

·      
At least five years managerial experience in a financial environment

·      
Leadership and management skills a pre-requisite

·      
Knowledge/Technical Skills/Expertise

·      
Clearly understands the strategy, vision and culture of SBU

·      
Understanding of competitor activity, drivers, products, strengths,
vulnerabilities, market share, customer base and improves own Region’s
strategies and tactics

·      
Thorough understanding of market management and market segmentation

·      
Sound knowledge of distribution channels

·      
Sound knowledge of branch transaction processes

·      
Sound knowledge of the Code of Banking Practise

·      
Thorough understanding of business and financial management principles
and practices
