organisation affiliated to the Baylor College of Medicine International
Paediatric AIDS Initiative (BIPAI), a Network of paediatric HIV/AIDS care and
treatment Children’s Clinical Centres of Excellence and international program
offices in 11 countries across Africa and Eastern Europe
Job Summary: The HR Coordinator Staff Development and
Performance will be responsible for leading efforts of creating a learning and
development culture hinged on fulfilling learning and development needs to meet
Baylor Uganda’s organization objectives as well as creating & sustaining a
Performance Management Culture
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
·
Support the implementation of a performance
culture in the organisation & ensure that the performance appraisal cycle
is met qualitatively and quantitatively;
·
Lead the development of content and use of tools
within the area of Performance and Development;
·
Support
line managers and staff in creating individual development plans(IDPs);
·
Train staff on performance management processes;
·
Support staff to identify and assess the
competencies required to perform in their positions ; manage relationships with
external training and accreditation bodies;
·
Deliver quality and impactful employee induction
and orientation programmes;
·
Manage the probation process cycles for new
employees;
·
Develop an internal pool of trainers to meet specific training needs;
·
Collaborate with key stake holders in designing
and implementing leadership development programs ;
·
Monitor the training and development
budget;
·
Compile the Baylor Uganda annual Staff Learning
and Development training Plan &
Calendar; Lead targeted succession planning and development processes.
·
Oversee the internal promotions process;
·
Facilitate and monitor the career management and
development process.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
·
The ideal candidate should hold a Master’s
Degree in Human resources management, Organisational Psychology or MBA-HR
Option. Honours degree in Human Resource Management or Organisational Psychology or a similar field; Diploma in
Administrative Law and Certification in
Balance Score Card and Coaching are
added advantages
·
At least 5 years
hands-on experience in Human Resources Management particularly in
Learning & Development and Performance Management. In depth Understanding
of Performance review methods and techniques;
·
Experience in designing, coordinating,
delivering and evaluating organization-wide training solutions.
