About US:

Adara Development is committed to improving Maternal Newborn
Child Health services in Uganda, by supporting holistic programmes that ensure
women and children have access to services across the continuum of care. The
organisation seeks to recruit an excellent, safe and timely Driver in Uganda.

Job Summary: The Driver will provide reliable and
courteous driving services to Adara staff, volunteers and visitors with safety
a top priority; to operate and maintain appropriate vehicle; and maintain
vehicle records. The Adara driver will need to live in or near Kiwoko, Nakaseke
District.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant should have completed an O’ Level
certificate or its equivalent

·       
Possession of a valid driver’s licence

·       
At least three years of experience as a driver
in a reputable organisation

·       
History of a safe driving record

·       
Experience driving a 4×4 vehicle in rough
terrain

·       
Excellent driving skills, including defensive
driving

·       
Good knowledge of driving rules and regulations,
local roads and conditions

·       
Skills in minor vehicle repairs

·       
Fluent in English (required)

·       
Knowledge of local languages spoken in Uganda
(preferred)

·       
Punctual and professional

·       
Respect for diversity

·       
Awareness and sensitivity regarding gender
issues
