is a Not-for-Profit, Non-Governmental Organization initiated in 2008, pursuing
a vision of ‘A hunger and Malnutrition free Uganda. The organisation is engaged
in the activities of fighting hunger in Uganda with a local, national and
global perspective.
About WFP Project:
Hunger Fighters Uganda, is
WFP Cooperating Partners for General Food Assistance in Nakivale/Oruchinga and
Kyangwali Refugee settlements.
Key
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure proper and accurate coding of field office
transactions and keeping proper documentation.
· Verifying calculations of all receipts and payments
made.
· Calculating and checking to make sure payments,
amounts and records are correct.
· Maintaining all
books of accounts and record all revenues and expenditures.
· Participating in the planning and budget forecasting.
· Reviewing and
verifying payment requests and their supporting documents for accuracy.
· Raising payment vouchers for all payment made and
making sure they are fully signed by responsible officers.
· Verifying all supporting documents/accountabilities
for accuracy before filling.
· Verifying
casual Labourer attendance in preparation of payments schedules.
· Proper maintenance and filling of financial documents.
· Other duties as
they may be assigned from time to time by the Finance Officer.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
· The ideal applicant must hold a Bachelors Degree in accounting
· At least three years of experience in accounting field (BSC/BA in accounting, Finance or relevant
field)
· Accounting skill: (Accounting, reporting skills on
financial matters i.e. Quick Books, attention to details etc.)
· Team player, interpersonal skills and confidentiality
