operates multiple children’s homes in Uganda, providing quality care to children
through a well experienced and trained team of Ugandan care-givers, the
children of Sozo are loved, nurtured, and equipped with proper nutrition,
healthcare, quality education, spiritual development and life skills to impact
positive lives.

Job Summary: The Social Worker will provide
assistance and advocacy to improve social and psychological functioning. The
social worker maintains case files for every child, oversees child welfare
initiatives, and ensures each child is receiving the specialized care they need
in cooperation with the Child Development Director and the Chief Executive
Officer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·       
The applicant should hold a Degree in Social
Work & Social Administration

·       
Should be a registered member of National Social
Workers Association of Uganda

·       
Three years of social work experience in a
Christ-centered, child-focused NGO is desired.

·       
Welfare initiatives, and ensures each child is
receiving the specialized care they need in cooperation with the Child
Development Director and the Chief Executive Officer.

·       
Must be a born again Christian.

·       
Possess the discernment to gather and
communicate information about physical, social, emotional, and spiritual needs
of the children.

·       
Experience working with children and child
therapy with excellent knowledge of child rights and protection.

·       
Ability to confront and discuss sensitive issues
with respect, dignity and the utmost confidentiality

·       
Working knowledge of English and Luganda,

·       
Proven ability to resolve issues in a calm and
efficient manner.

·       
Excellent written and verbal communication
skills and ability to interact well with different cultures and must have the
ability to facilitate groups.
