Job summary: The
Temporary Logistics Officer IT Services will be responsible for supporting the
Logistics function and IT systems (network, software and/or hardware), provide
IT user support services and oversee assets management in line with Operations
guidelines and ARC Uganda’s mission.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate must hold a University
    deg
    ree in IT, Logistics,
    Supply Chain Management, Business Management or similar degree.
  • At least 3 years’ experience working in
    the field of IT, or Logistics
    and Operations in an International relief organization
  • Strong IT skills (generic applications, internal communications systems, and
    software packages)
  • Experience in system installation &
    management; Network design,

    management and security; Network Monitoring and support.
  • Skills in documentation &
    information management
  • Knowledge of standard INGO and donor
    procurement procedures and
    practices
  • Excellent writing and communication
    skills, including proven report writing
    skills
  • Experience working with a diverse staff
    and confronting challenging field
    situations
  • Able to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Work experience in a complex emergency
    setting preferred.
  • High level of Computer literacy and
    knowledge of software programs: Excel,
    Access, and similar packages
