client- a leading Travel and Safari Agency based in Kampala is looking to
engage the services of a suitable individual in the position of Operations
Coordinator. Our client is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).

Job Summary: The job
incumbent who is expected to commence work on 01/04/2020 will be a member of
the Senior Management Team reporting directly to the Chairperson Board of
Directors. T
he position will
attract a salary commensurate with one’s qualifications and experience.

As the Operations
Coordinator you will provide overall strategic leadership, day-to-day
operational oversight, high level administrative support and guidance to the
Board and all staff. You will be responsible for increasing the visibility,
competitiveness, and productivity of the Agency. In addition, you will enable
improved customer experience and patronage in alignment with the approved
Strategic Plan, and with policies established by the Board. You will also be
responsible for initiating and leveraging strategic business partnerships,
championing business development and development.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
  • The ideal applicant must hold a Master’s Degree in Business
    Administration (MBA) from an accredited University majoring in either
    business, finance or Human resources
  • A relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited University in either
    tourism, hospitality management, business, SWASA, accounting or psychology
  • At least 6 years working experience with at least 3 years spent as
    part of a Senior Management Team (SMT)
  • IATA related qualification and exposure to the aviation industry
    will both be an added Advantage
  • Leadership and supervisory skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Business development and market place analytical skills
  • Customer profiling and service
  • Results oriented with high levels of self initiative
  • Ability to work in a highly competitive entrepreneurial environment
  • Ability to present and persuasively champion one’s point of view
