About US:

Uganda Electricity Generation
Company Limited (UEGCL) is a Public Limited Liability Company incorporated in
March 2001 under the Companies Act (Cap 110), the Laws of Uganda and in
conformity with the Electricity Act, 1999. UEGCL started operation on 1st April
2001 and is wholly owned by the Government of the Republic of Uganda, with the
head office located in Kampala. The mandate of UEGCL is to establish, acquire,
maintain and operate electricity generation facilities as well as promote
Research and Development in the Electricity generation sector while running the
company on sound business principals.

Job Summary: The Internal
Auditor-Technical will Review, evaluate and contribute to the improved
effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes and perform
Technical audit assignments as directed by the supervisor


Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

·        
Conduct audit assignments as per audit
programmes.

·        
Identify material changes in operations/systems
and alert supervisors.

·        
Evaluate effectiveness and efficiency of
operations and promoting continuous improvement

·        
Ascertain extent to which process goals and
objectives have been established and conform to those of UEGCL

·        
Review processes to ascertain extent to which
results are consistent with goals and objectives and are performed as intended

·        
Prepare timely, clear, and well-written reports
of audit results to Supervisor.

Supervisor: Audit & Compliance Manager

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

·        
The ideal applicant must hold a  Bachelor degree in Engineering

·        
Proficiency in Auditing and Compliance
Management

·        
Part qualification in accounting with relevant
professional body such as CIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA is an added advantage

·        
Member of relevant professional bodies is added
advantage

·        
3 years’ experience working on relevant
Technical engagements and related projects with ability to demonstrate quality
assurance acumen

Analytical, testing and sampling skills

·        
Professionalism

Knowledge of Audit Strategy.

Knowledge of Audit Methodology and scope:

·        
Articulate communicator and excellent report
writing
