Ltd is a Ugandan personal care company based in Kampala, manufacturing personal
care products. Its brands include Movit, Radiant, Baby Junior, Skin Guard, Pine
and NAN. The company was founded in 1997, by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift
workshop in Namasuba, Wakiso District. In 1999 the first Movit product, Herbal
Baby Jelly, was put on the market.[4] Over the years, Movit, the company’s
flagship name, has grown into one of Uganda’s top cosmetics brands with
distribution links in both East Africa and the COMESA regions.[5] Other known
products from Movit include the Body Milk Lotion, Junior Petroleum Jelly, Movit
No base Relaxer and many more.

Job Summary: The Assistant Manager
Projects will be responsible for leading in the project planning process,
identify dependencies, coordinate different task owners and monitor systems and
processes to ensure that the project objectives are achieved within the company
policy and procedures framework .

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

·      
Draft coordinated plans and activities to
support the implementation of the project in a timely manner.

·      
Prepare work plans for various components of the
project on a quarterly basis. Monitor progress and develop suggestions for
corrective actions, if necessary.

·      
Carry out internal and external stakeholder
engagement in the project development process. Track and monitor the
implementation and changes in the various projects.

·      
Prepare monthly progress updates on the projects
to the Chief Finance Officer Identify and communicate any potential issues or
risks that could affect the progression of the project Review projects and
project deliverables to ensure they are aligned with the intended goals and
objectives

·      
Perform project close out activities and submit
reports to the project sponsor or Functional Manager.

·      
Maintain crucial project documents which track
project progress and ensure that all documents are accurate and have been
accepted by the Project Manager.

·      
Closely monitoring the project schedule and
deadlines for each project to ensure deadlines are adhered to and report any
potential delays to the management team

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

·      
The ideal applicant must hold Bachelor’s degree
in Arts, Business Administration, and any other related field.

·      
A Professional qualifications in Project
planning and management

·      
Five (5) years’ experience in operations or
related field

·      
Proven experience of participating in projects
as project coordinator or project management assistant

·      
Demonstrable team work, administration and
management skills

·      
Demonstrable project evaluation skills

·      
Experience in planning and schedule management

·      
Attention to detail

·      
Excellent communications skills and report
writing skills
