About US:

TUMU Medical
Training Institute is a privately owned, modern health facility, located in the
newly created district of Buhweju, in western Uganda. It is a community Health
care focused institution, with a training wing for Nurses, midwives and Lab
technicians.

The Medical center, has acquired modern amenities like Ultra
sound, Scans, X-RAY machines, theatre and other modern equipments. It has
cordial working relationships with other hospitals in the region, but most
importantly it has relationships with major hospitals in China and India in
sharing research and staff development.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

·        
To supervise and teach clinical skills to
students in clinical areas

·        
To be responsible for the progress reports and
forms being taken to the wards and collect these forms at the end of the
experience and passing them to the Academic Registrar

·        
To attend meetings of the school or clinical
areas as appropriate

·        
To assist in the supervision of students who are
gaining experience in the community and practicum sites.

·        
To participate in the classroom teaching as
allocated.

·        
To set, supervise and mark student assessments.

·        
To give student performance reports to the
Academic Registrar.

·        
To carry out any duties assigned to by
supervisor

Qualifications, Skills and
Experience:

·        
The ideal applicant must hold a Diploma in
Nursing or Diploma Comprehensive Nursing from a recognized institution.

·        
Must be registered and licensed by the Nurses’
council.

·        
At least one year’s teaching experience in a
recognized Health training institution.

·        
Knowledge in computer use

·        
Must be good at multi-tasking and flexible in
taking assignments.

·        
Ability to work and stay in a rural setting is a
MUST
