(FICO) is one of the oldest locally established insurance companies in Uganda.

Job Summary:  The Sales Executive is responsible for
assisting and supporting the sales manager in developing the base of long-term
sources of clients by engaging with prospective clients.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Develop
    marketing strategies to compete with other insurance providers
  • Interview
    prospective clients to obtain information regarding their financial
    resources, insurance needs, and to discuss the scope of insurance coverage
  • Explain
    features, advantages, and disadvantages of various insurance products to
    clients
  • Deliver
    and explain the policy to policyholders and make suggestions for
    additional cover
  • Confer
    with policyholders to obtain information when claims are made on a policy
  • Calculate
    premium and establish payment method
  • Ensure
    that policy requirements are fulfilled, including necessary medical
    examinations
  • Notify
    and explain necessary records keeping by the policyholders
  • Inspect
    properties to determine if it is a good insurance risk
  • Monitor
    claims to ensure they are settled fairly for both policyholders and the
    company
  • Perform
    administrative tasks such as record keeping and processing policy renewals
  • Seek
    out new clientele by networking and generate lists of prospective clients
  • Sell
    insurance policies to businesses and individuals on behalf of the company
    and
  • Such
    duties as are customarily performed by other persons in a similar position
    and such other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the
    Employer.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

 The applicant must hold a bachelor’s degree in
any related field.
