About US:

The
Uganda Cancer Institute is mandated by me UCI Act of 2016 to undertake cancer
care, research and training. The UCI is also the designated EastAfrica Regional
Centre of Excellence in Cancer Care, Research and Training.

The
Institute officer’s comprehensive cancer care for screening, diagnosis, policy,
care, research and training with all treatment modalities. In a bid to improve
the services offered to Ugandans, UCI is expanding its radiotherapy facility
having acquired additional two radiotherapy machines.

 It is critical to the evolution of a National
Centre of Excellence, providing specialized treatment and care for all types of
cancer using all the available subspecialty expertise possible, as well as
engineering oncology-centered research and training.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

·        
To
participate in treatment planning of cancer patients;

·        
To
treat patients using radiotherapy machines;

·        
To
liaise with clinics and laboratories in the preparation of patients for
radiotherapy;

·        
To
participate in monitoring of patients undergoing radiotherapy;

·        
To
ensure daily quality assurance and daily quality control of radiotherapy
processes;

·        
To
participate in research activities;

·        
Compiling
and submitting periodic reports; and

·        
Carrying
out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

·        
The
ideal candidate must have a Degree in Therapy Radiography or its equivalent
from a recognized institution; and

·        
Must
be registered with the Allied Health Professionals Council
