About US:
The Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB) is established as a Statutory Body under the Uganda Registration Services Bureau Act Cap. 210, Laws of Uganda 2000 Edition. The Bureau is a key player in commercial and civil registrations that facilitate private sector development and vital statistics for national planning.

Job Summary:   To
provide legal advice and guidance to the work of URSB and ensure sound legal standing
of its operations

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 
·        
Carries
out the review of rules, regulations and procedures applicable to the URSB,
which may be affected by new legislations, policy changes and developments in
the administration of justice and advises the Board Secretary/In-charge of
Legal Affairs accordingly.
·        
 Ensures registration of legal documents with
the relevant authorities.
·        
 Represents the URSB in court proceedings.
·        
 Prepares pleadings and other court documents.
·        
 Reviews and or prepares contractual documents
made with third parties and ensure that URSB interests are taken care of
·        
Provides
legal advice to URSB and its clients on compliance with all legal requirements
in her operations.
·        
Represents
the interests of the URSB in the courts of law and elsewhere necessary.
·        
 Performs any other duties as may be assigned
from time to time by the Board Secretary/In-Charge Legal Affairs




Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

·        
An
Honors’ Degree in Law with a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from a
recognized institution
·        
 Membership of the Institute of Chartered
Secretaries and Administrators and/or
·        
Master’s
degree in law or a related field is an added advantage.
·        
 At least 6 years of relevant work experience 3
of which must have been at management level in a reputable public or private
organization.
·        
Must be
enrolled as an advocate.
