Equal Opportunities Commission (EOC), established by the Equal Opportunities
Act of 2007 is mandated to provide a framework for redressing imbalances, which
exist against the marginalized groups while promoting equal opportunities for
all.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

        
Supervise the work of all support staff in line
with the Departmental guidelines

        
Plan and monitor the provision of required
administrative and logistical services to all departments and offices.

        
Monitor the acquisition, distribution, storage,
and maintenance of an up to date inventory of all EOC’s property in line with
the Commission’s guidelines.

        
Monitor the provision, proper handling, monitoring
of movement and maintenance of all transportation equipment in line with the
EOC’s logistics policy.

        
Follows up Commission’s related matters raised by
Parliament

        
Prepare the annual budget for office supplies and
monitor expenditure against budget in accordance with established financial
guidelines.

        
Carry out periodic inspection and monitoring of
performance of contractors to ensure that maintenance of offices, office
equipment, furniture and fittings is done to required standards in line with
the EOC’s guidelines.

        
Maintain the security of EOC personnel, offices
and equipment is maintained

        
Arrange air travels and hotel accommodation for
staff within and outside the country in line with Government Policy.

        
Represent the Ministry at all National Committee
meetings – (NOC)

        
Participates in the inspection and monitoring of
the adhoc and annual boards of surveys on cash and stores

        
Perform any other duties as may be assigned that
may be assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

        
The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in
Social Sciences, Arts, Public Policy, Business Administration (Management) from
a Recognized University.

        
Possession of Certificate in Administrative Law is
an added advantage as well as experience in fleet vehicles management

        
Excellent command of spoken and written English.

        
Analytical, coordination networking, negotiation,
communication interpersonal skills

        
High ethics and integrity

        
Strong IT and Computer Proficiency Skills

        
Results and team-oriented

        
Ability to work under tight deadlines

        
Proven ability to produce high quality
reports/documents,
