Mirage Trading Company Limited
is one of the leading distributor of all types of high quality ceramic and
porcelain tiles in Uganda. We deal in both imported and locally manufactured
tiles.
Job Summary: The Accountant will primarily manage our
accounting function.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare, register and keep cheques.
- Ensure all invoices from external
parties (suppliers, contractors etc) are received, properly recorded in
the accounting system and promptly paid on due dates. - Ensure that cash and bank balances are
reconciled on a daily monthly basis. - Take responsibility for cash management
and supervise the person assigned the role of petty cash management. - Prepare/generate report or monthly
management accounts. - Ensure that all company expenses are
recorded and that debtors and creditors are properly recorded and
reported. - Provide the necessary accounting data to
the deserving managers - Assist the management with the necessary
tasks e.g cost calculations , filing finance related documents. - Ensure the filling of monthly statutory
returns such as VAT,PAYE etc. - Preparing final accounts for external
audit
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s
degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration or Commerce. - Full qualifications in CPA or ACCA.
- Five years of relevant experience
preferably in a profit making organisation.
- Very good hands on knowledge Excel
Spreadsheets and Accounting or ERP programs. - Team player yet able to work
independently. - Good time manager.
