About US:

The
Uganda Cancer Institute is mandated by me UCI Act of 2016 to undertake cancer
care, research and training. The UCI is also the designated EastAfrica Regional
Centre of Excellence in Cancer Care, Research and Training.

The
Institute officer’s comprehensive cancer care for screening, diagnosis, policy,
care, research and training with all treatment modalities. In a bid to improve
the services offered to Ugandans, UCI is expanding its radiotherapy facility
having acquired additional two radiotherapy machines.

 It is critical to the evolution of a National
Centre of Excellence, providing specialized treatment and care for all types of
cancer using all the available subspecialty expertise possible, as well as
engineering oncology-centered research and training.

Key Duties and
Responsibilities: 

·        
Maintaining
main and subsidiary accounts

·        
Verifying
and authorizing financial transaction

·        
Preparing
budget estimates

·        
Preparing
financial accounts (or statements) and reports

·        
Answering
audit queries

·        
Advises
on financial matters

·        
Ensures
timely payment for goods and services

·        
Planning
work schedules, monitoring and controlling expenditure

·        
Supervising
and evaluating performance of subordinate staff

·        
Compiles
and submits periodic reports of the department

·        
Carrying
out any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor from time to time.

Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:

·        
The
ideal applicant must have an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Business
Administration(Accounting) or Bsc Accounting and Finance or full CPA or ACCA
from a recognized University or Institution
