About US:
The
Leadership Code (Amendment) Act 2017 established the Leadership Code Tribunal,
consisting of a Chairperson, Deputy Chairperson and three other Members. For
effective performance of the functions of the Tribunal, the Act provides for a
Registrar of the Tribunal, other Officers and Staff as may be necessary. Section
19 A (2) provides that the Officers and staff of the Tribunal shall be
appointed by the Public Service Commission, on terms and conditions determined
by the Public Service Commission.
Key Duties and
Responsibilities:
·
Driving
vehicles between different points as directed by the assigned supervisors or
Transport Officer.
·
Ensuring
compliance with traffic and road safety regulations
·
Keeping
the vehicle in good running order, tidy conditions and clean at all times
·
Carrying
out minor repairs.
·
Making
reports on major and minor repairs to the Administrative Officer for action.
·
Supervising
the loading and off – loading.
·
Assisting
the Transport Officer to ensure the regular servicing and preventive
maintenance of the assigned vehicle(s)
·
Any
other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications,
Skills and Experience:
·
Applicants
should be Ugandans holding an Ordinary Level Certificate of Education with at
least a pass in English Language plus a valid driving permit of Class B
(minimum).
·
Applicants
should have a minimum of three (3) years relevant working experience from a
reputable organization.
·
Applicants
should submit a recommendation from the Local Council (LC) 1 Chairperson.
·
Practical
knowledge of motor mechanics will be an added advantage.
