Job Summary:  Supply chain monitoring/end user monitoring
and providing data from community initiatives to document lessons learned and
good practices remain a key area of concern that requires support with
additional human resources. The internship option provides an opportunity to
the new graduates to learn key skills and competencies in practical
manner.  The internship is a learning
opportunity for the potential incumbent in RMNCAH.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: The intern will receive orientation from the
MNH Specialists and assist them in the following tasks:

Support
supply/equipment management system for MNH at district level 

  • Support MNH specialist to coordinate with PCA partners for
    identifying the supply needs in the districts.
  • Develop a tracking system for the MNH supplies/equipment which
    enables the health specialists in UNICEF and MoH counterparts to carry out
    end user monitoring and identify key gaps in the distribution and use of
    the supplies/equipment.

Support to scale up
and documentation of the Key Family Care Practices

  • Support to the MNH specialists and zone office colleagues to
    document the results from the implementation of the key family practices.
  • As learning opportunity, participate in the KFCP review meetings,
    trainings and community based activities.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the United Nations UNICEF Reproductive
    Maternal, Neonatal, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) Intern job
    opportunity should be enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate or Ph.D.
    degree programme or have graduated within the past two years.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
  • Be proficient in at least one of UNICEF’s working languages:
    English, French or Spanish. Fluency in the working language of the office you
    are applying to is required.
  • Have excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent
    university or institution records.
  • Have no immediate relatives (e.g. father, mother, brother, sister)
    working in any UNICEF office; and
  • Have no other relatives in the line of authority which the intern
    will report to.
