Manager MFS

fax/data, internet and mobile services.

Job Summary:  The Senior Manager MFS – Payments should have
hands-on experience in outsourcing contract managements to facilitate portfolio
growth and encourage financial inclusion.al,  
Manufacturing, FMCG and other value chains. The incumbent will be facing
the challenge of deploying new growth levers for mobile money, the job holder
will deploy merchant payments and push evolution

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Execute strategies through creating and implementing   tactical plans for others to follow.
  • Identify business challenges and explore effective   solutions through effective
    influencing.
  • Carry out commercial innovation and continuous   improvement for systems, processes,
    products and service offerings.
  • Produce sustainable departmental results through   prioritization, ethical practices and
    coordinating the work of others.
  • Managing Merchant payment performance
  • Manage the Merchant Acquirers and MFS Payment team
  • Execute and formulating strategy for MOMO PAY
  • Acquire new income streams by identifying and   enhancing opportunities in value chains
    that are underserved by MFS and  
    enhance existing ones.
  • Promote innovation in digital financial services to   grow the NGO initiated transactions
    (e.g. refugee payments), Agricultural,  
    Manufacturing, FMCG and other value chains.
  • Develop Roadmap for the payment features evolutions
  • Coordinate activities with strategic/financing   partners to facilitate portfolio growth
    and encourage financial inclusion.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • The ideal candidate for the MTN Uganda Senior Manager MFS –
    Payments job placement should hold a Master’s Degree in commercial
    sciences or equivalent (OR Bachelors Degree + PGD with distribution/retail
    experience)
  • Minimum of five (5) manager track record.
  • Three (3) years’ work experience in a telecoms industry or service
    industry
  • Hands on experience in Distribution network management
  • Hands on experience in outsourcing contract management
  • Experience in working across diverse cultures is added advantage
