Job Summary:   The Records
Officer will primarily manage and maintain the registry where all official
manual and electronic records of the Board are kept in an accessible form to
end users.

Key Duties and Responsibilities: 

·        
Heads
the registry staff and assigns them specific duties;

·        
Receiving,
registering and classifying the various records;

·        
Opening
files for keeping information and closing them when due;

·        
Filing
and routing specific files to officers responsible for action;

·        
Auditing
the records system periodically and handling confidential matters as prescribed
in the records policy;

·        
Supervising
and appraising staff of the registry and making appropriate recommendations.

Key Performance Indicators

·        
Records
received, registered, and classified;

·        
Files
opened and closed when due;

·        
Files
promptly routed and tracked to officers responsible for action;

·        
User
records system periodically audited:

·        
Confidential
matters handled as prescribed by records policy

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: 

·        
The ideal
candidate for the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) Records Officer job
placement must hold an Hons Degree in Records Management or the equivalent from
a recognized Institution:

·        
At least
three years of relevant experience gained in a busy registry of a reputable
organization.

·        
Manual
and electronic records management:

·        
Information
Communication Technology skills.

·        
Attention
to detail

·        
Personal
Attributes:
Accountability,
Confidentiality, Teamwork, Innovativeness and Professionalism.

·        
Age
limit:
Between 25 to 45 years
old.
